I read this directly after finishing Something Borrowed. Like many other reviewers, I was not a fan of Darcy at all. Knowing that this book focused solely on her was not a selling point for me. Honestly, the first 100+ pages were hard to get through. I kept hearing a voice in my head just telling Darcy to suck it up and quit being so darn selfish. By the end of the book I was cheering for her and even teared up. Talk about a talented writer! Emily Griffin has the ability to take you on a roller coaster of emotions through both books and completely transform your attitude towards Darcy right along with the characters transformation. If you read Something Borrowed, I recommend reading this as well.
